Skessuhorn-Skessuhorn (3200 ft) is an elegant peak in western Iceland. Snow outlines layers of ash and lava created by volcanic activity.
Lóndrangar-Lóndrangar pinnacles are the remains of a volcanic crater which has been eroded to its present form by the sea. At 200 and 250 feet tall, they are a singular sight, rising above the ocean on the southern coast of Snæfellsnes peninsula. The farmers in the area never make hay on the hill because it is said to belong to the elves living in the area.
