Tiger's Big Adventure
The Burr Trail Switchbacks near Capitol Reef National Park, and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument in Utah. This was one of the more interesting drives during our trip. The road getting to the switchbacks had a bit more washboard than we would have liked (looking into making some changes to the suspension to better handle washboard). The climb up the switchbacks gave us an elevation gain of about 700 feet in 1/2 mile of horizontal travel. The road was in good repair and could easily be driven in a car - if the road is dry. There was room on the switchbacks for the Tiger to make the turns easily. I was glad we did not have to make multi point turns around the switchbacks. We met one small car and one motorcycle so there was plenty of room to pass. I'm glad we were traveling up and not down. It was good to get to the top and look back.
